Welcome to Note AI! This Privacy Policy describes how Note AI ("App") accesses, uses, stores, and shares your Google user data. By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

2. Data Access and Use

The App only creates, reads, and deletes calendar events for your to-dos.

3. Limited Use Disclosure

Note AI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. For more details, please visit the Google API Services User Data Policy.

4. User Consent for AI Integration

Note AI uses OpenAI's GPT-4 to process natural language input and convert it into calendar events. For example, if you input "buy food tomorrow at 9am," the App sends this sentence to GPT-4, which then converts it to a specific date and time (e.g., July 23, 2024, 9am).

By using the App, you consent to this data processing. We do not share your data with any other third-party tools or build databases for external use.

5. Managing Access to Your Google Account

You can manage the App's access to your Google Account through your Google Account settings. To revoke access, go to your Google Account's security settings and remove the App's access.

6. Scopes Justification

Scope Requested: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar

Justification:

  • Read Access: We need read access to your Google Calendar to display your existing events and ensure that new to-dos do not conflict with existing events.
  • Write Access: We need write access to create new calendar events based on the to-dos you input into the App.
  • Delete Access: We need delete access to allow users to remove to-dos and their corresponding calendar events if they are no longer needed.

A narrower scope would not be sufficient because the App's core functionality relies on the ability to create, read, and delete calendar events to effectively manage the user's schedule and to-dos.

7. Personal Information Access

The App requests access to the following personal information from your Google Account:

  • See your full name
  • See your profile picture
  • See your gender
  • See your preferred languages
  • See any other information you've made publicly available
  • See the primary email address associated with your Google Account

Justification: This information is used to personalize your experience within the App. For example, your name and profile picture may be displayed within the App to create a more personalized and engaging user interface. Your email address is used for account-related communications and to ensure that the App is linked to the correct Google Account.

A narrower scope would not be sufficient because the App needs this information to provide a personalized user experience and to ensure proper account linkage and communication.
